Pontoon Boat FAQs and Answers:
Is there a recommended PSI for inflation?
Optimum pressure is 2.5 PSI. DO NOT exceed 2.5 PSI.
Is it possible to over inflate the bladders?
Yes, you will want to gauge the firmness of your inflated bladders. The pontoons should be firm to the touch. We also recommend that you check the inflation with an air pressure gauge. We recommend models made for pontoon boats, like the Kwik Check from K-Pump.
Can I keep the bladders fully inflated when the boat isn't in use?
No. Always let some air out of the bladders to account for temperature changes that can cause the bladders to expand or contract. We recommend that you fully deflate, dry, and fold the pontoons before storing.
How much weight should I put in my anchor bag?
Six (6) to 8 pounds should keep you anchored in a light breeze, however, the specific weight needed will vary depending on your weight, cargo weight, water currents, and wind.

Do I have to remove the wheel when not in use on my pontoon boat?
No, the wheel is made to be storable when not in use. The wheel has 2 positions: Down for transport and Up for fishing.
I received an elastic cord with my boat. What is this used for?
This is the retention cord used to keep your boat from floating away while wading in shallow water. To attach, simply clip the cord at each end to the D-rings located on the front of each pontoon float.
I received a wrench with my boat. What is this used for?
The wrench is used to tighten, remove, or replace the valves, as well as remove or replace the bladders.
Once my boat is assembled, will I be able to take it apart?
Yes. Your boat is held together with Frame Clevis Pins. Simply unlatch the clevis pin to separate frame parts.

How do I transport my boat?
The boat can be transported partially or fully assembled and/or inflated. Due to size constraints, many customers will keep their frame fully intact and simply inflate and attach their pontoons once they reach their destination. Various methods such as a pickup truck bed, trailer, or roof rack can be used to transport your boat. If you are carrying a partially or fully assembled and/or inflated boat, please consult with your vehicle, trailer, or roof rack Manufacturer.
Do your boats come with a storage cover?
No, at this time our boats do not come with a storage cover.
My boat came with a piece of foam. What is this for?
This is your detachable foam fly patch. Use it to store flies for quick access.

Can I use my boat in salt water?
No, we recommend only using your pontoon boat in slow moving fresh water.
What is the average assembly time when first putting my boat together?
First assembly will take about an hour and a half; however, once completed, most of the steps will not have to be repeated.
Can I place a motor on my boat? Do you offer one?
Yes, you may place an electric trolling motor on your pontoon boat if it is rated for one. Check your boat’s instructions. We recommend a maximum shaft length of 36” with a maximum thrust of 30 lbs. You will need to check with your State Licensing Department for licensing rules and regulations. We do not offer a motor but one can be purchased through your local Sporting Goods Retailer.

How do I make adjustments on my boat for my height?
The foot pegs and seat can either be moved forward or back to make accommodations for a wide range of leg lengths. Consult your owner’s manual for further instructions.
How do I assemble the wheel?
- Slide the wheel between the forks of the wheel frame.
- Slide one washer on to the axle.
- Insert the axle through both forks and the wheel hub.
- Slip the other washer over the end of the axle, squeeze the forks together, and secure with the cotter pin.
- Apply a small amount of non-water soluble grease to the axle on a regular basis to keep it rolling smoothly.
See your product owner’s manual for further details. Available for download below.

How do I pump up my boat?
Our pontoon boats use a quick inflation valve which utilizes the special adaptor that came with your boat for inflation. Some of our boats include a small foot pump. Otherwise, most marine pumps will easily attach to this adaptor. We recommend the Classic Accessories Float Tube & Pontoon Boat Hand Pump #61111 (see "Buy Online" on the product page for online Retailers) or similar pumps available at your local Sporting Goods stores.
See your product owner’s manual (below) for further details. Click on the name of your pontoon boat to download your manual now.

Do I need to license my boat?
Licensing laws vary from State to State. Please check with your local Licensing Authority for more information.
My Licensing Department asked me for a Certificate of Origin. Where can I get this?
A Certificate of Origin was included with your boat. If you do not have the certificate you can download it here.
Please Note: You will need to write in the 12-digit Hull Identification Number (HIN), which is unique to your boat, on the downloaded Certificate of Origin form. You can find your boat’s HIN # on either pontoon skin, on the right rear part of your boat’s seat frame, or on the retail package.
My pontoon boat's packaging says I get a free Trout Unlimited membership with its purchase, but there is no registration card in the box. How can I sign up?
You may download your Trout Unlimited Membership Registration Form here. You will need to print it out, fill it in completely and mail it to the address indicated on the form.
